The range of colors that are possible in a color space. Gamuts are often analyzed with 3D viewers to determine the size and shape, or overall capabilities of colors that are contains within the gamut. See Media Analyzer.

This can include the range of colors that can be displayed or printed on an output device.

For example, a color printer has a much larger gamut than a black and white printer because a color printer has more color options.
